So, it has been a VERY long time since I have played this game. I quit around the time LoA server came (2002-2003?) out so that may show how long it has been for me. I am posting to ask if it would be worth it for me to pick up the game again? I am sick of all the new MMO's and wanted to give this a shot again. Would I be able to get started without too much difficulty?
Also, I used to have two accounts when I played but when I go to see if I could reactivate them they don't come up on the NCsoft website. My account for Lineage II shows up though, and it is under the same name//password.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Well, the game being worth
Well, the game being worth it is a bit tricky question and depends how much rule breaking etc you can tolerate in the game you play and still have fun. Lineage is and has been for some time now full of bots, hackers and all kind of cheaters and NCsoft does not really seem to want to get rid of that problem in pretty much none of their games. Also depends how you like to play the game: If you only want to have some fun with your friends in the game then Lineage can well fill the purpose. If you like to aim to be the top dog of the server playing along the rules (ok, in case of NCsoft game that addition is pretty much needed), then I advice you to skip this game because others has several years of head start and cheaters are botting and account sharing the top level characters 24/7. Because of the massive amounts of bots in lots of low and mid level and increasingly also in higher level hunting grounds you will have difficult time to gather adena and materials to get started in the game.
If you still feel like Lineage might be worth to try out regardless of the problems it has, then you might want to check this link about how to link your old Lineage accounts to the PlayNC account. Basically it guides you to this PlayNC site that in turn advices you to contact the account support team through PlayNC support system. They should connect your Lineage accounts into your PlayNC account after you provide them the needed information to confirm you're the actual owner of the accounts and that in turn makes it possible for you to reactivate them and start adventuring in the lands of Aden.
If you decided to rejoin the game, good luck in the world of Aden. I bet you can find some nice people to help you settle down again :)

I played Lineage 2 for quite a while and in that game as well there are countless bots but I still managed to enjoy the game.
If I do decide to play again what server would be recommended? I used to play on Dep I believe but i honestly cannot remember. The main account I used to play on was not actually in my name. Do you think I would be able to "reclaim" it with just the account info (name and password) or would I have to provide birthdates, CC# used, secret questions and such? I'm going to go check out the links you gave me now.
Thank you for the response by the way.
I am not sure what kind of
I am not sure what kind of process they have for the account retrieval nowadays, but back in the day when that change came they just sent the product code to the e-mail that was given to the account. That obviously cannot be the case now, but they will instruct you when you contact the support.

What server to play is again a matter of preference. LoA has the biggest population as well as the total amount of cheaters, Ken is the only non-PvP server with smallest but dedicated community, Dep is the hardcore PvP server with a bit more people than Ken. However there has been plans to merge LoA and Dep after episode 6 has been released and allow one time chance for players in those servers to move into Ken. But that merge-thing is not written is stone yet, so do not count for it to happen. Basically pick the server that seems most suitable for your playstyle as a bad thing for someone can be the best side of the server for another. So it's relative to the observing eye.
