I am hoping to get an idea of the length of time it takes to level the diff char classes. For two entirely diff reasons...
1. being how long will it take to get a char to 55...
and
2. being how much time have I played this game... (wasted away)
example:
any class:
lv 1-5 5 min
lv 6-13 +2hrs
lv 14-20 +10hrs
lv 21-25 +15hrs
lv 26-30 +20hrs
lv 31-35 +25hrs
so using this example it would take aprox 47 hrs (2+10+15+20=47) game play to reach lv 30.
above is example only.
It all comes down to how much time you end mops for exps. From my experience (ive played for almost 5yrs and have 0 lv 50 chars because I play so many diff. I do have 13 lv 45+ chars accross the 4 servers.) Every charactor type levels at diff speeds from all others and the hunting locations makes all the diff. Those who hunt TOI level faster than those who hunt on the mainland and in dungeons. Those who have 8+hours daily can gain levels far more quickly than those who get 4+ hours a week. duh...
So basicly im asking...
how long to level 40 in each class?
how long to level 48 in each class?
how long to level 52 in each class?
how long to level 60 in each class?
how long to level 70 in each class?

depends on gear, charms and
depends on gear, charms and who you hunt with/can hunt with.... like a wind elf with sayha's in laia's room, can put down %s fast, a mage in 2f mage room, can put %s down fast if they have the int/sp for it a good 3 man party you can consistantly hunt tos 2f with, can bag you very good xp... theres so many variables to this question, its imposible to put a real answer up, without further information.

how long did it take you? for each of your diff chars?
on test right now i have 100+hrs and am lv 48 con wind elf. I didnt have super gear, i have no charms, i basicly have no one to hunt with.... ( I am tring to get to lv 50 so I can test the content. We all know the Bots arent going to be reporting any bugs). Right now I hunt FV for iffys, giran east for griff/cyc , some limited TOI 24, and I end the croc to get his nzel. As an Elf I can TA for about 1000hp damage in 30 sec before i need to b2s... i can carry 200 coj making my weight 78%... mith arrows from a +8xbow I mow down most non-boss mops...
My Main Elf on Ken took 2yrs to lv 48 dex earth, has no charms, just over enchanted gear, lots of deaths, and used 3 pets for 10 levels and since has used his summon. I hunted mostly open areas and in partys, very limited TOI, very limited FV, Lots of PI island... this char basicly is retired but still has every piece of his gear.
So 100+hrs... to 2 yrs.... is a big gap...
In reality im guessing about 8 months to lv 48 at 10 hrs a week is about 320+hrs for an Elf. ( (8*4)*10)=320+/- hrs game play.
What will it take to get to 50 from 48 now? How much time? Any guess?

When I was leveling my first
When I was leveling my first mage back in 2001-2003 it took 6 hours to earn 1%, so a level (51-52) took approx. 600 hours. It took just over 15 months to get to 50. And then I went from 50 to 52 in 9 months (i played at my job and at home. And some game changes were made).
However, new areas and changes to the game are really helping all classes level faster now. My second mage took more months but fewer hours to get to 52. ^_^
This has been mentioned before on the blogs here at Lineage 1 so I'm saying anything heretical that hasn't been said before, when I say: Lineage is about grinding. In Korea, some gamers view Lineage as their *JOB* and it's designed with that in mind. You can either play for fun and not level, or learn to find grinding fun.
This is why account sharing/ selling and botting are out of control. Resist the dark side - learn to love the grind.

I am pretty sure I used to
I am pretty sure I used to level dex elfs to 30th in about 8 hours. They were twinks (full enchanted gear not over enchanted and 2 row's)
I would hit the dummies till 5th, grab gear out of storage then do the haste boot quest. Head to talking island kill werewolves and lycans till 15th, then hit owl till 30th.
But that doesnt count the 1 to 8 hours of unoptimized leveling time if your going to do 15th level quest.
Not sure what it would take to go from 30-40th, but i think owl is good for leveling until about 40th. Fire Valley would probably get you those 10 levels faster though.
If I had the time I would do a dex elf and see if those times are close, its been a good bit since I tried for a ets.

This seems a tad bit
This seems a tad bit optimistic to me, but I'm not an uber-leveler. I remember when Ken (or LOA not sure) opened and people raced to be the first to global (global was level 30 then). It took just under 12 hours before the first person globaled. I don't remember who it was though. Anyhow, I certainly believe that its possible to get to 30 in under 10 hours with good gear, but 45? Really??
Give us a bit of insight as to where you would hunt each of the levels? Does this include a heal drone? This means that with a big pot of coffee and a comfortable chair, you could get to level 48 in one sitting! Now I understand why its unlikely I'll ever have a level 55+ anything...
I started a new mage on Sunday with good gear, and in about 16 hours of grind time, I'm at level 33 now. That includes a great deal of time using a +8 HBow to minimize time waiting around for mana regen. I probably could have gotten there in 10 if I had really pushed hard. To break up the monotony, I've started turning elmos in OWL. At level 33 each Elmore General gives me about 0.2% experience. I'm too lazy to get out the calculator and see what that equates to at, say, level 40, but I bet its a very large number of Elmos you'd need per hour, and you have to fight the bots for the ones that do spawn! FV gives more experience and adena per mop, but they take me longer to kill, so I don't average significantly more exp per hour there at the moment.
I expect it to take about a month to get to 48 at the current rate. In contrast, with my lvl 48 con elf I can only make about 2-3% experience an hour with a +8 Yumi, and my level 48 knight can get 5-8% per hour with a +8tsu (and a ton of potions). I'll be surprised if I can consistently do 2-3% per hour at 48 on my mage since I'm no pro at managing mana usage just yet.

I should note all this was done with pots about 500k
It also depends on your class.
Mage can do it in about the same time with FC scrolls (kill eggs in FV and you hit level 20 within a few hours)
Elf Bow it up till lower 10’s and then head to FV once you learn VT and Blood to soul. (Elf took about 23 hours to hit level 48) Con elf.
Now all this can go even faster if you have a pledge mate or friend that will bring online a rubber for you.

I think level 50 took me
I think level 50 took me about 2 months from start to finish. Literally, raw "no gear" start to "meh gear" finish.
That being said, the changes to areas/xp/buffs since then would greatly change that time frame. Take a +6hbow, bracers (or lizardman hero gloves I suppose), thrown on windshot (heck even dex if you have someone who doesn't mind giving you a hand), and you can start hunting Elmores at level 15 and do so quite well.
As Sk8 once said to me "It's not the same level 1-50 anymore"...and it's not.

For Me 49 took a decent amount of time. A Little over one year. 50 has been shorter though. I'm at 50% and I'm about 3 months in. I play alot less nowadays too.

What are the lizardman glove stats/enchants? I keep hearing about them but never seen them. Are they a drop or quest item?

Drop from PI lizardmen I believe. 2ac, bone, 1 dex, 1 bow hit (-2cha, but what elf gives a hoot about that?). They are more or less equal to bracers, but "can" add 1 dmg if it pumps your dex up to the next damage bonus.

and lvling years ago, would of taking close to bout 200-400 hours a lvl at 49+.... now, 50-200 hours tops.... any class, and lvl really... lvling back then was a pain back in the day... before lvl 50's existed and oren/fire valley it took around 6 hours to get 1% at 49...... hehe, the good old days

If you can get 20 int you can level on 51f pretty easily as a mage
