Level 72: Greater Mintour - min. CHA 36 or Cougar - min. CHA 42
To be able to reach 42 CHA it is required to raise the base stat cap from 25 to 35. I really hope that NC will allow all players to redistribute the stat-points. Otherwise most people can retire their higher level chars and start from scratch! Will we see 43 DEX elves, 46 STR knights, 38 WIS dark elves and 42 INT mages?

There are so many issues I see with this. If we can redo our stats will our HP and Mp show the difference? A 35 base int mage... I am scared that shall be a easy 400 hp hit with destroy on 100 mr..... Heck a 35 dex elf with TS is going to be killer. I mean when we get dex KG rings with a elf that has max dex she and i both noticed she has a very good change in killing speed. I will let more talk about it and then I add more later. I end with one thing. With the 35 point increase in mind. Will level requirements be adjusted, Or elixir drop more? I mean how will anyone max a stat? or 2 for that reasons

The whole stat thing is still in testing but everything points out that it will come.
HP/MP increase may become static, e.g. if you have a 25 CON elf you'll have 1000 HP at lvl 60, other classes may have more or less HP with the same CON. This also eliminates HP-gambling. The new stat system requires to rebalance the stat bonus/damage system too but they still testing it out (e.g. currently you can get way over 100% MR if you go behind 25 WIS and the system reflects this :P)
The redistribution system allows you to setup you character like usual in the character setup screen, additionally all bonuses, HP/MP gain are shown for the stats you have chosen. Then you can level-up per click and depending on your characters level you are allowed to add additional stats at lvl 51+. Once you have completed the process you can confirm your redistributed character or cancel and try again with other stats. But once you have confirmed your char you can't redistribute again.
NCK has setup a own server for the new system where noobs and high level players can test out their chars on this unique test server.

With stats and all still it goes from me with no job at levle 64 5 days to level up (this is 14 hours a day) Take that to a normal person that is about 3-4 hours a day so still over 3 weeks.
At level 65 its now 14 hours a day for 10 days then 20 days. So your talking about 6 weeks a level with no job and life then 20 days a level with no job and no life. Take that to a person with a job its now over 4 months for a singel level then once more it doubles at level 75.
The level system will need to be adjusted also.

I hope this comes to US servers. It is already giving me motivation to level again. Are they going to nerf int because you can get 35 now? I find it frustrating when a 30 int mage with all sp gear can't curse someone just because they have 145+ mr, which is not that hard to get nowadays.

Then you'll be happy to hear that overall magic will get improvements because most people have high MR. INT mages will be able to hunt with magic only again, all area spells will do a lot more damage. This changes are post EP6/EPU and are currently in testing in Korea. With some luck mages will get them together with EP6/EPU.
All classes are currently rebalanced, high level CHA mages are not uber anymore compared to INT mages - and you'll not be able to max out both stats anymore. In short: CHA mages will be a little weaker, INT mages will get a lot stronger.
Talking about classes, the new fire spell for elves has been locked on Taiwan servers (means you are not able to get it at all) because elves with that spell easily do 60-80dmg PER HIT! Combine that with high MR and self healing abilities...I guess I don't need to say anymore here.

I am not 100% sure, but even tho you can make 35 int, NC capped SP to 27 so that mage dmg doesnt get too rediculous, pledgemate told me (coronis can check this?) So the 35 Int in the end will just be for chance spells para/ice/cancel/slow etc will work like crazy...
Also with this 35 stat base system everyone in the end will be a unique character if you want to look at it that way. Plus, like Coronis said, the whole wis/con system is rebalanced, by a lot, an 18 con knight at lvl 70 gets almost 1700HP, base.

DepServer did make a damn good point. Yet I am sure as a DE I will need to add more into con so I can get that nice HP area. Yet with all in mind I do not see many Different types of DE's. Still we all ways to have about 1000 hp with AS on, 18 dex for AC and then need some more wisdom for the MR and Regen. So well even if the stat system does change I will not be much different then I am now. Other then my 2 wasted points into dex will be in different spots.

I was thinking the other day how all the other NC games I've been playing alow you too change stats. and how Lineage has become a Con based game anymore. And was hoestly hoping they would give us a chace to reroll our points. I've always enjoyed being kinda of a highbred, but with the game going where it has 500hp just isn't close to enough to live through anything.
I'm dissapointed that mags are getting more summons though, and elfs are still stuck with one out of date summons with magic spells that can't kill a Kabol.
AND WTF,,,, take away the only spell that would make a elf worth carying a sword...? That really p......... me off.
NCA had better give us a chance to get it.... Or I may be saying goodbye too all of linage in the near future.

I was thinking the same thing. How is this "omg strong!" elf any different than that Dark Elves? Different defenses for equal offensive capability (elf hits weaker but faster). Then again, elf gear isn't exactly light and the amount of sgems required to keep added fire active gets out of hand rather quickly (to say nothing of how much relic/bbs price would go up as a result of a massive increase in demand).
I guess they don't want elves being able to melee and...ya know...be good at it.

Some people asked me about the STR damage bonus with new 35 stat cap - the new system is pretty simple, e.g. if you do 17.5 dmg with a +0 sword and 25 STR, you'll do 27.5 dmg with 35 STR! No info about DEX + bow yet but I hope it will work the same :P

Bad news for all those wind elves out there - Storm Walk will neither come with EP6 or EPU (darn, this spell was THE reason for me to choose the wind line), at least we'll Striker Gale (ignores the targets ER) but for the cost of 5 sgems! NC has no love for bow elves T.T

Seems the summons have been pretty much totally redesigned. Example dire bears are now level 52 summons and dire wolves have only 360 HP O_o They have added summons to lower levels that seem like usable, so that's a good thing at least. Still difficult to say anything more about those changes as I have no idea what there reads besides the level requirement and HP/MP of the summons, so don't know about the power of their attacks and so on. I can only hope they are balanced tho, because for now it seems the HP of the summons has been cut down when comparing to example current dire wolves or dire bears.
Example the mage in the pics can have bunch of dire bears or battle turtles (or whatever those lvl 56 summons are) that are having 600/650 HP each, but then he has only one Hellbound and it has still only 750 HP. Unless there is some other benefits in those summons that are weaker in the HP department or taking more charisma to summon I can only hope they are balanced out by having some other benefit in them. Otherwise we just end up having more useless summons like the current level 56 ones. But like I said, difficult to say yet and better just wait out how they turn out to be.

I wonder if Hellbound summon has multicell ranged attack like the real mop does... The real one can hit multiple cells at a time from over 4 cells away... That would be interesting.
4 Fire Archers would be interesting summon. Two cell Firewarriors could be nice.
Looks like bears are nerfed down to less than the strength of current wolves... I wonder if wolves are stronger than bears now, but bears offer 3 cell range and wolves only offer 2 cell range.

There was a new level 50 Fire buff spell that was basicly the old Armor Break that DE's had. Which made the weapon automatically hit for the max possible amount each time.
Thats the one that got disabled.
Storm walk was never in game, and still wont be in Episode U.

The locked spell on taiwan
The locked spell on taiwan servers is Soul of Flame (it is not locked on korean or chinese servers!) which maximizes damage output. Basicly a nice spell because elves don't have high damage weapons.
There are some situations where this becomes an issue. This is when the fire resistance is in the negative range (e.g. low fire resistance and elemental falldown) then the damage output may exceed the 100dmg mark - per hit - contant!
The other new fire spell: Additional Fire which allows to regen HP and MP while overweight is another nice add-on for fire elves.

Soul of Flame: Duration 64 seconds, 3 Spirit Gems - nothing you want to run around with all day long but compared to Striker Gale (192secs, 5 Spirit Gems, no damage improvment) it's cheap.
Fire Elves are already in a good shape - many mops are weak to fire and those who aren't can easily VT to death.
Personally I think the primary weapon of an elf should be a bow and they should be best with it. I like it old school: Bows for elves, swords for knights, claws/edos for dark elves and magic/summons for mages

As a long term fire elf, I can say with certainty that is patently incorrect. The majority of new zones/monsters in the last 2-3 publishes added to Lineage are generally strong to both water and fire. ToS undead, for example, are all but immune to all elements. The depths of Lasta have no major elemental weaknesses to speak of. Most of the bosses in TOI are decently strong to fire and water (the exception being a few of the lower floor bosses of which melee isn't exactly the ideal approach to them for an elf).
Being both a fire elf and an int elf, I am accutely aware of how ineffective the combination is in so many places. Yes, I can hunt a handful of places that others cannot easily (41-44 for example), but those areas are vastly outnumbered by the places that are simply not worth going to for me.
Sk8 hastles me about always being on FI. Well, as I've said to him, there's a reason. It is the only place in ALL of Lineage where both fire and water weaknesses converge in the same area (and both on many of the monsters) and at a level that is worth it for me to hunt. Unless I want to step back down to an xp rate of 1/4 of what I earn on FI (I can't even think of any within 30+ levels of me). I might add, TheHammer already earns 2x the xp I do per hour hunting where his knight is at its best. This convergence of weaknesses isn't even true of all of FI, but really only true of 2 general areas of FI, BB and Mino.
The majority of SoF damage is from elves swapping out their usual weapons for an Ancient Sword. In reality, beyond that one weapon, none of our other weapons have a significant "random damage" component to them, especially not like DKS or KVS, or K-Weaps.
As I said ealier, what's the difference between a fire elf being able to hit solidly (at great cost I might add) and a DE doing the exact same thing? Offensively the elf and DE would be roughly equal, and while different, defensively we would be roughly equal (I can heal, the DE just doesn't get hit). When an elf casts heal/cancel/falldown/etc (ie using their defensive attributes), what are they not doing? If you said swinging, you guessed correctly. If you keep an elf casting, they aren't hurting you (possible exception being an int elf).

There's the dirty little
There's the dirty little secret about fire elf damage that is simply the flip-side of why they can hit so hard in a few select cases...it's fire damage for good or for ill, it's both hindered and improved by your targets fire resist. There are plenty of places that being a fire elf is pretty much pointless (ToI 2x and 4x, FV, DVC 5-6, and ToS to name a few), and there are places where it's generally awesome (FI being the prime example, ToI 3x...and I'm drawing a blank for anywhere else possessing of sufficient quantity of fire weak monsters).
This double-edge sword that is fire elf damage is even further compounded with LoA's elemental damage changes. Where it's good, it's REALLY good. Where it sucks, it REALLY sucks. I did a couple hours of hit testing around FV and found that burning weapon and elemental fire both contributed next to no damage without throwing elemental falldown on everything in sight (lava golems would die a swing or two faster).
You cannot say that in any form or way about DE damage, which is every bit as high, and (other than cancel which is no less a problem for a melee elf) is not mitigated by any easily stacked stat (hell, not even AC, which is always a problem for a melee elf since their hit is naturally pretty low compared to DEs or Knights).

Unfortunatly, its looking that way... knight get new craftable armor from APM that I've heard isn't as good as dragon armor and a couple more garbage pvp spells... meanwhile water/fire elfs get really nice spells (water pvp (polute), fire pve/pvp) and earthelfs retain 100% control of battlefields with earthbind-spam, DEs are left overpowered and mages get better summons, so the lv70 mages who didn't bother to add cha, can still solo everything in game zzz.

This is so awesome..this is what I have been saying for years when it comes to stat point allocation. When I first made my elf I wanted to be unique. Not con dex, which many at the time where telling me to do. Now we will truly see some nice unique set ups....I think for my mage I will go heavy into int and wis, but additional points into cha.....i want many fire archers!
