So I'm a lvl 49 Int elf (wind line), and I've been hunting TOI 41+ lately and its been enjoyable. I hunt mostly using VT but also use a rapier on the ghosts. I'm wondering if I should switch lines and if so what line? Would water be best to use Falldown and improve VT, or should I try Fire for more damage from my sword or go Earth for the a/c and be able to ebind dragons to prevent getting overwhelmed.
Any advice would be great thanks!

Falldown will make a huge diff, should increase your kill speed on the dragons by about half. However, thats based on my int elf being water and using entirely VT to kill dragons, I do not use a sword at all, I just have a mith dagger equipped for the sp.

I hunt 41f+ like Sk8 with
I hunt 41f+ like Sk8 with Mith-Dagger and find it the easiest way to hunt there. I use Dark Elf Wizard morph for faster casting speed, erase magic + TU on ghosts. My wind elf has 18 INT (with Int-Ammy and Int-Ts) and I can kill 1 dragon with my mana then I need to B2S to around 200mp to make sure to kill the next one.
I tried sword there too (DK-morph + Ori-Dagger), which allows faster kills but requires much more attention because I need to switch between swing and VT cast (or g-heal). All the fire elves I've seen on 41f which uses sword are usually lvl 55+ and CON.
Most earth elves using bow and pets on 41f , which seems to work pretty nice there because they don't get swarmed that fast.
Don't hunt 41f in melee (or VT) without 100MR and some FMR. With 100MR and 45 fire MR I can withstand 2 hasted LDs or 3 unhasted. Fire Ghosts and LD can be tricky in combo because the FGs interrupt your VT.
you shouldn't have to stop
you shouldn't have to stop swinging to VT... once you drag mouse down and start auto-swing, just use middle-click to VT, it casts VT with little/no stop in your swinging.

how can you elf without
how can you elf without middle click... you stop shooting to T-Shot? u can middleclick and get tshot between 2 shots, and its basically 5 arrows in 2 shots.... almost better to just not t-shot if u can't middle click...

This is what I do ... and with all of the advantages Windows users get in this game it is a bit like running a permanent double experience event.
middle-click is also how
middle-click is also how some very skilled elves can heal me and dmg at same time... start auto shoot, with gheal highlighted, target me, b2s/double tap gheal for own hp/mp management and middle-click for heals when I need, when target dead select next target and repeat... this requires a good deal of skill though, and only a handful of elves I've run with have been able to heal me w/o being water.

As for line switching, you can either be a water elf to kill more swiftly, or an earth elf to be able to easily control the tempo of any fight (ie you can stop getting mobbed). Anything else is marginal at best.

LOL you guys are silly. Im fire not con and I do fine on 41 I use a 100+ mr and a 100 fire though. +10 dama rocks the dragons 22 str helps with that and 17 int makes vt work just fine.
Now I do wish I had more MP and HP almost all the time up there and yes I run if more then 3 dragons show up. And It hhurts like hell if and goast should show it's face in there with two of them. but TU works pretty good if you take out the Ghosts first.
I will say though I run into alot of realy good hunters up there who help with things lke Earth skin ans AS and we all seem to get along fine.
MY fave way to hunt up there is too get my wife too help me. Being water, she EF's the dragons and takes out ther ghosts for me. and then I can take out 3 dragons with my mp and sword just fine.
Honestly one of my fav places to hunt these days.

i hunt there with my mage , i havent tried elf there. it took some trail and error but for a mage its pretty fun and relaxin.now only if i can get a dragon heart
