So I was on Dream Island and had to go to the bathroom... I decided to go into COI at the very north part of the Island (north of water and fire) and go AFK for a minutes while I do my business. When I came back, my screen was flooded by Monitor52 testing me to see if I was a bot! He was telling me he was an Game Monitor and he was asking me to verify my level and meat gauge! When I came back, I answered all his questions and told him I was in the bathroom AFK and asked him if he even saw that I was AFK, to which he said he did.
I then asked him if players aren't allowed to go AFK in-game anymore. He replied, "Yes but they should only go AFK in a Safe Zone" to which I said, well what about if they are in a little corner in COI? He said, "There are some monsters that are still able to see you and attack you." I said, well I was aware of the consequences and made my own choice to do so. Also, I told him "and this is DREAM ISLAND. If I die here to anything I won't lose ANY experience! and NC has told people on several occassions that Safe Zones aren't completely safe so what's the deal?" To which he replied, "You are correct but Safe Zones are still better" and then quickly said "Enjoy your gameplay. Bye."
What the F*** is that???
I have some screenshots but haven't figured out how to put them up here yet, I will post for proof.

Looks like he just did his
Looks like he just did his job, nothing to worry about. You'll only get into trouble if you used some kind of 3rd party program, e.g. to auto-buff your char while afk....
Agree If you where true AFK
Agree If you where true AFK as you seem to say you are even if you did nothing with his questions he had no power.
He might have been working the /accuse list or watching you and as you left he had some questions to ask. no big deal really.

I agree. Sounds like the
I agree.
Sounds like the monitor was doing his/her job. Informing you that you were not in a "Safe Area" was more than his/her job requirements, but not a bad thing.
Maybe you found a good monitor to help deal with game issues?
Have a Good Day!
Everything Happens for a Reason.
I have no issue with the
I have no issue with the questions. His lack of understanding of the game bothers me more.
Let's see ...
Go invis in an area where you are unlikely to be found and where even if you are, the only penalty you will pay is a polly, 20 meats and the cost to get back on the island.
Or ...
Leave the island, take a chance your polly will expire while you are gone anyway and guarantee that you will have to pay to get back on the island.
Finally, someone please tell me what monsters on Dream Island will "still able to see you and attack you." Unless someone by chance drags an area attack monster to you ... .
It's NC policing the game
It's NC policing the game and doing their best to wipe bots out, get over it and stop whining unless you want to go back to having nothing be done about them again
first off, that monitor is a
first off, that monitor is a complete idiot and probably would of had him banned if he was afk for another minute longer. and 2nd. do you like the abuse monitors do to other legit players? Teleporting them out of a hunt to ask you pointless and personal questions?
there are better ways of getting the info u want.
I've never had any problems
I've never had any problems with that but I know it happens, I'm just happy that things are actually changing now. What this player did could be viewed as suspicious from an uninformed point of view and what it comes down to really is the monitors not knowing the game enough to provide this service. This player didn't get banned, the monitor was just checking unusual behaviour out. How personal can a question about your character really be?
your ac, exp, where your
your ac, exp, where your hunting? teleporting u around or summoning mops that are unkillable that starts hitting u... ya, harassment is a understatement in some cases.
They have a habit of asking
They have a habit of asking the same players the same questions for weeks on end... lol
It gets out of hand on occasion
I refuse outright to answer majority of the questions they ask, and I tell them as much
