Volume 3: Crack of Time FAQ 

As most people know, Lineage Volume 2 (The Cross Rancor/Dark Conquest) has come to an end and Volume 3 Episode 1 is in development. Lineage Playforum and Gameabout have conducted a short interview with one of the developer (planner) in Episode 3 and of course Nue has translated it for people to enjoy. (and for me to translate to enlish)

Illusionist: the class that was unsealed because Girtas caused the "Crack of Time"

 Q1: Tell us about the background story behind Volume 3?

Lineage Developer:  A seal has been broken because the arrival of Girtas has disupted the time gap and caused disturbance to the world. Because of this, the Illusionists have been released from the seal. With orders from Eva, the illuionists will be assisting the current Aden warriors to battle the evil Lord of the underworld. Also, eva has requested help and the light dragon has assigned the Dragon Knight to help. In the mean time, Dark Dragon is in search for the legendary tree of life.

That means Illusionists and Dragon Knights have been living in hiding.

Q2: Tell us the characteristics of Illusionists?

Lineage Developer:  Illusionists are magic based while Dragon Knight is melee based. The special thing about Illusionists is that they are able to create illusions and are able to cast in a short amount of time. Also, Illusionists can equipt armors and cast spells that can increase resistance to freeze, paralyze, poison or other special effects. Due to the balance of the game, these spells only lasts for very limited amount of time.

Q3:  What's the pet beside illusionists?

Lineage Developer: That's a special pet that's only available to Illusionists. Due to the fact that illusionists have low physical attack, they will be dependent on this pet. Also, this pet can enhance the strength of the illuisions as well. The pet is obtainable through quest . The illusionsist' quest will be mainly themed around investigating the damages that caused by girtas.Illusionists are considered as the combination of elf and mage.

 Q4: Tell us about Dragon knights?

 Lineage Developer: Dragon Knight's skill will be mainly consuming HP, hence, their regenerations rates are far superior than other class. The ultimate spells for Dragon Knight will be "Awaken", they are able to transform and increase that attack power. This spell will consume MP constantly.Once MP is done, they will return to their original form.Dragon Knight's skills will be mainly decreasing or limiting opponent's movement and power. Unlike Dragon Knight's awaken, Illusionists have no way to transform to their original form.

Q5:  Tell us about Dragon Knight's weapon.

Lineage Developer: Dragon knights' Weapon will be chain sword, a type of two handed weapon that causes massive damage.

Q6: Tell us about Illusionists' abilities.

Lineage Developer: Mainly, their skills will be creating 4 types of illusions. Each type will be used in different situations. (PVP, RVR, War and Siege)

Q7: What are the new places in Part 3: Crack of Time?

Lineage Developer: In Volume 3, there will be a illusionists village, dragon knight village, a new town and a new dungeon. The illusionists village is located in a far away island and the only way to there is through the Teleport Person in Ivory Tower. Also, this village does not give tax to Aden as they do not sell Potions and Scrolls.
 
The Dragon knight Village will be located somewhere in Aden. The new town will be used for Dragon Knights and Illusionist's quest. The town itself does not have a hotel as the area is similar to the one in Elven Forest. These new villages and town does not have level restrictions.

Q8: What's the new dungeon like?

Lineage Developer: The dungeon itself is caused by the crack of time and is part of Girtas' area. The only way to enter this dungeon is through an opening that caused by the crack of time. There will be announcments regarding such opening. The opening will only last for 3 hours or else all players will be teleported back to Aden. The only way to keep it longer is to kill the boss. The boss will only spawn 30minutes before closing.  This new dungeon will be suitable for players between level 20 to 60.

Q9: Are the current morphs suitable for the new classes?

Lineage Developer: Yes

Q10: What's the stat for the new classes?

Lineage Developer: Illuisionists are similar to elves, low hp but high mp. Dragon Kight is simlar to Royals, high hp, lower mp.

Q11: When will Part 3, Episode 2 be released?

Lineage Developer: Sometime next year.

Q12: New class seem to have equipment based skills?

Lineage Developer: Yes, the new classes' skill will be similar to elves' triple shot's system.

Q13: Changes to mage class?

Lineage Developer: In order to balance the game, Mages' attack power will be increased but it is not certain.

Recent Updates

In addition to this FAQ, Lineage KR recently revised the level 50 quest to no longer requiring a set of level 50 players. It has also split into two parts, one in Ivory Tower 3 and the other in the Holy Ground.

 Also,  Lineage KR has added an npc that sells a special type of poly scroll. Such poly scroll will not only differ in movement, casting and attacking but also, the attack power and social actions are abled to be used as well.
