Super Event Drops!

Hey all you Aden hunters? Anyone want to fill me in on their Uber Event Adventures? Would love to hear how you did and live vicariously through you while I'm off and away! Good hunts! Zooom

Super drops event

I'm playing LoA a bit now, and got everything I need to outfit my Mage there (AScroll for ARobe, Int Ammy, BoM, Demon Gloves) and also some things I needed for my DE (AScroll #2 for AlA, Str Ammy)... totally crazy...

I also got a bunch of other drops (TSU, OBoM, Old Ammy's, RoPC)

But, the thing that bugs me the most, is how easy it was. I'm sorry, but I'm not one to complain about getting a good drop, if it is singular, but this is crazy... I got two freakin AScrolls, and I've never even been to FI. What's worse is that all these extra drops has lowered the prices by a lot, and is creating a ruined economy. (AScrolls are currently 4mil on LoA. Good thing I didn't trade my 6PG's for one last week...)and not to mention all the hard working players that have probably saved for weeks to get an AScroll... OMG, I'd really hate to be them.

So, Who really benefitted from this event? The people who were lucky enough to get SB:Destroy dropped to them from Reaper, and the people who obtained a Kaiser weapon from a Pumkpin. Everyone else just got junks.

Anyways, I thought the event was good. But the after effect will kill this game more that the release of WoW.

As for the economy, AScrolls seem to be in the 10M range on Ken right now but we'll see where it settles. The real change is the Shields of Eva. There used to be less than 10 on the server. Now there are more SoEs than players. The good news with SoEs is that they can be blown. In balance we'll probably end up with fewer, better SoEs but it wont necessarily change any demand long term. The AScrolls are more problematic since, unless they are used for bowguns that can be blown, they are used for items that stay in the game permanently (ancient armors). After Heine, belts went through the floor ... they are now heading for the basement. There wont be a single character above lvl5 without some kind of amulet. Like someone said on the NC boards, they should add an NPC that buys the ammys and belts after events like this so that you can get rid of them and get the economy back to "normal" faster.

Personally I think it was a fun event but it is a good thing it only lasted 1 day.

i found the event very exciting,personally i did not get many drops. i got 2 bom a bzel,dai and 4 deaths. man those vampyres can be tough. i agree that there should be an npc to buy items so the servers economy can recover somewhat. there will always be complaints about somepeople getting all the good stuff and thats the way of the world as a whole. there will always be those whom are so greedy that they dont share with their party/hunting partners. these people truly suck and make the game experience more negative. the candy idea was really good,however they were unable to be keyed specifically. it is similar to wands how the first one could be keyed but others not. all i did was arrainge them next to the pot of similar effect. and hotkeyed the one i used most. as to the eva shields im so glad they can be blown, im making a +7 soon =). i did benefit from the lowered price of things i bought an a-scroll and a few other minor items. where will our servers go with all the new and over-available items, who knows. i guess the thing to work for now is leveling and adena, all things are on sale and can be bought, get them now while the event effect on economy is fresh.

I'm with Lindalas on this one. Yeah it's great that all sorts of stuff dropped, but it means that people hunting that stuff say next week, to sell...well, why bother? There really is no point to FI any more. You can get the same experience in TOI, and if things go OMG you can leave.

BTW, why was money dropping on TOI 42 during the event? Did the code get messed up when they added extra undead there?
