I had wanted to see exactly how uber the Caspa pack is now. So off I went to find them. With a server load of um, not much, I figured I'd have them to myself.
First I found this.

It was non aggressive to me when I first came down summonless. So I went upstairs, summoned some gargoyles in case the other three pack members showed up, came back down, and started in on it. This was actually the hardest of them, especially once the cave doggies showed up to breath fire on me. And then Balt whatever also came in to start in on me. But eventually they all died. I went up to regen and check the summons:

Oh boy. Now, I realized I really needed more pots, and I figured that odds were that no one was going to take the rest of the pack in the time it would take me to get to town. So off I went for some more clears.
Came back, and this time went with KBB. For an awful lot of things, KBB are pretty nice summons. They seem to have a little more MR than do the skells, which is of course important for mage mops, and they have more hp. They're very slow, so if I'm using a bow I really do prefer the skells, as they get in there to start hitting all the sooner. But the skells I knew, from past experience, could not hold up to three pack members at once. One would focus on the skells and end them. Gargoyles are great, but so slow that if a swarm of mops show up, you're out there dealing with them sans the summons.
Anyway, here came part two:

I had actually found it a little bit up from there, and dragged it back to the doorway. That worked out well, as it kept any other mops from coming into that room and starting in on me. So that ended and it left only Caspa. I headed back up to where I had found Sema, got Caspa's attention, and once again brought him back to where I wanted to fight him:

And he ended and here we go:

I always feel so uber when I get a drop over my summons.
I really didn't think that the pack members as individuals were too hard. I had 71% mr when I went into there (was using my mana cloak,, rather than my bcomr, but had on 2 10% rings and a +7 homr), and the only ones that hurt much were the ones errupting me. The lightning was a joke. I was lucky in that I didn't get swarmed by other mops, and I was able to after the first two take them one at a time.
I checked my summons as I went on, as I had to dismiss at that funny place on 5, where your summons won't follow you. They had a small quantity of adena in them, but nothing more. So a few mgems, two bteles and some cash. Not great at all, but I guess it was fun.
Finally, why is the dex mage not using a bow? Because with my mana ball, I add 100 mp. The ac and int added by it are nice, but mostly the mp's added are sweet. In caves I sometimes get swarmed, and I just frozen cloud everything. Also, the mops are so close, I would rather use a sof than a bow. My strength is at 19 with that and my dex at 20, so while I do not hit as hard as a strength mage, odds are I don't miss too often. I think it may balance out over the course of a mop.
